For many children, the last day of school doesn't just mark the beginning of summer vacation, it marks the loss of the breakfasts and lunches they depend on each day. While many of us look forward to summer as a season of fun and family memories, countless parents face the heartbreaking reality of wondering how they will provide enough food for their children when school meals are no longer available. No child should have to spend their summer with an empty stomach.
Through our Tote Me Home Program, we send bags of nutritious groceries home with children to help fill that gap. These groceries don't replace the love and care families provide, they simply help ease the burden, allowing parents to stretch their limited food budgets and ensuring children have healthy meals and snacks waiting for them at home. Every bag represents more than food; it is hope, compassion, and the reassuring reminder that our community cares. Your generosity helps ensure that children can spend their summer making memories, not worrying about hunger.
