Project Report: Mitigating Attacks on LGBT Groups in Nigeria (Oct-Dec)
Summary:
Our project focused on reducing violence and attacks against LGBT individuals in Nigeria through community engagement, advocacy, and support services. Key activities included:
Awareness campaigns: Collaborated with local NGOs to sensitize communities on LGBT rights.
Safety training: Provided self-protection and emergency response workshops for LGBT groups.
Achievements:
Reached 110+ community members with awareness messages.
- Trained 20 LGBT individuals on safety strategies.
- Documented and reported 10 cases of abuse.
Challenges:
Stigma and legal barriers hindered outreach.
Next Steps:
Scale advocacy and partner with more local groups, regional, national and international
