There were 5 classes in Basic Literacy and Numeracy training with thirty eight (38) learners (24 are new learners) while Accreditation and & Examination Training had two (2) classes with a total of forty six (46) learners. The street educators /facilitators continuously conducting the modular sessions of BLP and A&E in the following areas; Ermita and Kalaw , Luneta, Pier, and Divisorna/Binondo and Delpan . Out of the 13 learners who filed to take the Department of Education examination under A&E level, one (1) passed the examination. He received the equivalent certificate of Secondary level. All children who passed the examination will be recognized by the Department of Education. They will be having their graduation rites in April of this year. The child is planning to pursue his formal studies in College; he is in the process of preparing for the entrance examination at the Universidad de Manila (UDM). He is hoping to pass the examination and be able to take up a four year course in College. In addition, the child is hoping also that CHAP can help him to support his studies in formal school. Two (2) children (siblings) who were referred to Pangarap Center (1) and the other (1) to Manila Youth Center respectively passed the examination. They were previously attending ALS A&E sessions when they were on the streets.
