Dear Friends,We are so pleased to report that the Tibetan girls soccer teams are in motion! Practice, practice, practice is the name of the game! These girls teams would not have come together without interest and assistance from outiside Tibet, and we are all very grateful to friends like you who understand how sports can strengthen body and spirit!!After a strong launch in November -- and the hiring of three soccer coaches and trainers -- weekend workouts were paused coinciding with the local schools' long winter breaks. But these tough young ladies were back and resumed training on March 1. Now they are ready for action!Remember, girls sports activities are not funded through the local education bureau and must rely on private funding. At the Bridge Fund, we look for every opportunity to foster Tibetan resilience, especially for Tibetan women and girls! We know that teamwork, strategic thinking, coordination and leadership are biproducts of participation in sports. We know too that Tibetan young people are scouted for sports scholarships in China because of their greater lung capacity and endurance. This project can be a winner for Tibetan girls!Thank you again for your support and please stay on our team! With gratitude,Meghan
