In December, our annual Learning & Sharing Self Help Group Event was again held over two days to accommodate the numbers and to facilitate easier discussion. Representatives from all of the 165 groups attended one of the days. The focus of the day was on starting small businesses and also Gender Based Violence as the events fell within the 16 days of activism against GBV period. We had a guest speaker from SEDA (Small Enterprise Development Agency) who gave advice on starting a small business. There were group discussions about small businesses where members shared advice and ideas and gave feed-back to the larger group. This was followed by a very emotional session on Gender Based Violence facilitated by Coordinators from Love Life in Lenyenye. There was amazing participation from members who were so willing to share their personal experiences. All those who attended had a great day and many old friendships were renewed.

We invited a group of men called "REAL (Responsible, Engaged And Loving) Fathers" to the SHG event. They are a group of men who have decided that they want to be more involved in the upbringing of their children. They have organised a couiple of "sports days" with their children and have been in a Self Help Group for the past 2 years. They are planning to do some farming and are trying to raise funds for this, by, among other things, drawing pictures of family members for those who want to buy them.

At the start of the new year, we have several plans. We are hoping to start 3 new Cluster Level Associations(CLAs). Our Community Facilitators (CFs) are working hard to identify SHGs which qualify to belong to a CLA. They also have to look after their old SHGs, encourage them to start businesses and maintain the social aspect of the SHG where members help and support one another. They also need to start new groups in some areas. So we look forward to a busy and fruitful 2024.

Thank you for supporting our project. Your donations all make a huge impact on the work we are doing and on the lives of the beneficaries of our SHG project.
