KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head coach Greg Stewart announced recently that Emilee Eastman (Hillsboro, Ore.) will join the softball program beginning next fall.
Eastman, a four-year player at Glencoe High School, helped the Crimson Tide to the 6A State Championship game in 2013 and to a 76-12 overall record the last three years at GHS.
During Emilee's ASA 2013 summer season, with Oregon Thunder, Eastman batted .464 with 45 hits, nine doubles, two triples and a pair of homeruns. Her Thunder team finished their summer off at the 16A USA/ASA Nationals in Sunnyvale, Calif. where she hit a blistering 12-for-16 in the series.
“I am pleased Emilee has chosen Oregon Tech, as she will be a good addition to our squad for the next four years,” said Stewart. “She is a good hitting infielder that plays third base for two very strong programs in Glencoe High and the Oregon Thunder ASA program. She has the ability to be a good offensive threat in our conference as she makes a lot of contact but also hits with power.”
Emilee is the daughter of Jason and Lea Eastman and has a younger sister Alivia also a player with Oregon Thunder. Emilee’s excited about joining the Oregon Tech family and plans to major in medical imaging beginning this fall.
Emilee will join former Oregon Thunder Player Alyssa Davis at Oregon Tech who has had a very successful start at Oregon Tech.
