Favored Generation will host the Thrive Lagos Youth & Wellness Outreach in Lagos, Nigeria, providing free basic medical screening, wellness education, and digital learning support to underserved secondary school students. The project will serve approximately 600-900 students from 30 schools through vital signs checks, vision screening, blood sugar testing, health education, and the Youth Laptop Impact initiative, which will provide selected students with laptops and digital access.
Adolescents in low- to middle-income communities in Lagos often lack access to basic preventive health screenings, wellness education, and reliable digital tools. This leads to late detection of health concerns and limits students' learning, digital literacy, and future opportunities. This project will support 600-900 students through free screenings, health education, BSE awareness, and selected laptop support.
The project will provide free preventive health screenings, including vital signs, vision checks, blood sugar testing, and BSE awareness education for 600-900 students in Lagos. It will also provide wellness education, student care support, and selected laptop donations to improve digital access. These activities will help students identify health concerns early, build healthy habits, and gain tools for learning, digital literacy, and future opportunities.
