Thanks to the generous donations from supporters like you, Days for Girls was recently able to meet the menstrual health needs of refugee girls in Lebanon. We're pleased to share that between January-February 2023, the DfG Social Enterprise (staffed predominately by Syrian refugees) was busy producing, preparing and packing 350 Days for Girls washable pad Kits.
In March 2023, our team traveled to Tal Hayat refugee camp where Social Enterprise member Latifa, supported by volunteer Mohamad, conducted DfG menstrual health education and distributed DfG Kits to 350 Syrian refugee girls. We were also fortunate to receive thoughtful contributions of 1,400 additional hygiene items from compassionate individuals in Lebanon. We were able to provide each girl with toothpaste, shampoo, extra disposable pads to ensure menstrual product choice, and extra soap.
Over the coming months, our team will continue to connect with the participants to check in and get feedback on their experience using the DfG Kits. We're so grateful for your gift that helped make this important project possible!
