The This Thanksgiving Make Room for One More campaign aimed to provide nutritious meals exclusively to children in vulnerable situations during the Thanksgiving season. Through GlobalGiving, we invite the international community to contribute as much as USD $5 to ensure that children served by our partner institutions could enjoy a special meal on these dates.
Thanks to the donations received, it was possible to:
The campaign expanded our response capacity and ensured that more children receive decent food support during this season.
Thanks to the generous donor participation in GlobalGiving, the project's funding goal was reached and therefore no further donations are required for this specific initiative. This marks a major achievement for Diakonia and confirms the effectiveness of the campaign in connecting people in solidarity with a tangible humanitarian cause.
This deactivation does not mean the end of the work of the food bank, but the successful closure of this specific campaign by fulfilling its purpose.
