Since launching “There Is a Bridge Between Us” on GlobalGiving, IRPIN BRIDGE has continued to be a place where people in Irpin can meet, create, learn, and feel part of a community.
Our space brings together internally displaced people, local residents, children and teenagers, women, older people, artists, volunteers, and families affected by the war. We continue to organize cultural, creative, educational, and psychosocial activities that help people reconnect with others, discover new skills, and regain a sense of stability in their everyday lives.
One of the most important things we see is that people often come to IRPIN BRIDGE for one activity but stay because they find a community. Someone may first visit an exhibition or a creative workshop, then join another event, meet new people, share an idea, or even become involved as a volunteer. For us, this is what the “bridge between us” means in practice: creating connections between people who might otherwise never have met.
At the same time, we are developing IRPIN BRIDGE not only as a community and cultural space, but also as a place where creativity can lead to new opportunities. We are working with artists and makers, developing creative workshops and social entrepreneurship initiatives, and looking for ways to help people turn their skills and ideas into products and sources of income.
We are still at the beginning of our fundraising journey on GlobalGiving and have not yet received donations through this project. Therefore, none of the activities described above have been funded by GlobalGiving donations. They have been possible thanks to our team, volunteers, community, and other partners who continue to support the work of IRPIN BRIDGE.
Your first donation to “There Is a Bridge Between Us” can help us take the next step — sustain the space, expand activities for people affected by the war, provide materials for creative and educational programs, and create more opportunities for people to connect, recover, learn, and build their future together.
Thank you for discovering our project and becoming part of the bridge we are building in Irpin, Ukraine.
