Dear Benefactor, Greetings from Margadarshi!!
I am happy to share with you, transformation of Lavith, a 9-year-old boy from Hanur, Chamarajanagar District, studying in III Standard, was diagnosed with 80% hearing impairment at an early age. Due to financial constraints, his speech therapy was discontinued, and his outdated hearing aid made it difficult for him to hear, communicate, and follow lessons in school. As a result, his education, speech development, and social interactions were significantly affected.
A turning point came when Margadarshi identified Lavith through its field outreach programme. Through counselling and continuous support, his parents were guided towards appropriate rehabilitation services. With the support of Margadarshi, Lavith received new bilateral hearing aids and was enrolled in speech therapy at the JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru. Regular therapy, parental involvement, and home-based practice helped him improve his hearing, speech, and communication skills.
Today, Lavith is more confident, actively participates in classroom activities, follows lessons better, and interacts comfortably with his peers and family members. His progress demonstrates the life-changing impact of timely intervention and sustained support. Lavith and his family express their heartfelt gratitude to you for their generous support, which has given him the opportunity to learn, communicate, and look forward to a brighter future.
