Dear Benefactor,
Greetings from Margadarshi!!
Sangeetha, is 23 old, hailing from Chamarajanagar, Karnataka. She was a healthy & normal girl. But her life changed drastically due to an accident in December 2022, she fell from staircase, resulting in her spinal cord injury, which left her bedridden. Immediately she underwent surgery and a rod support was given. Inpite of surgery, she couldn’t walk, due to timely therapy. At this stage, Margadarshi physiotherapy team met herm in August 2023. Immediately, an individualized physiotherapy regime was planned, that combined intense physical exercises with comprehensive emotional support. This multidisciplinary approach aimed not only to restore her physical capabilities but also to rekindle her hope and resilience. Over a year, Sangeetha underwent a rigorous rehabilitation program under the careful supervision of the Margadarshi team.
Sangeetha’s legs were unresponsive in the beginning, as the weeks progressed, her paralyzed legs gradually regained movement, showcasing her incredible tenacity and the effectiveness of her physiotherapy program. With the unconditional support and practical assistance of the therapist, she took her first tentative steps, in Feb’ 2024, a moment that bridged the gap between physical success and emotional triumph, marking a significant victory over despair. Today, Sangeetha is walking with assistance, https://photos.app.goo.gl/Pebk4BtSUc7pzmTv8 a powerful symbol of hope and recovery. This newfound ability has illuminated her life and her family's home with renewed purpose and optimism. The laughter and dreams that once seemed lost have returned, filling their lives with joy and anticipation. Sangeetha's experience serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of dedicated care and the human spirit's resilience.
Presently, she has undergone another surgery ie., removal of rod and she is under bed rest. After 45 days, therapy shall be continued, and we are hoping Sangeetha will walk without any assistance in future days. Sangeetha’s journey illustrates how moments of darkness can lead to hope and resilience, where every challenge becomes an opportunity for renewal and growth.
