We are happy to share that we have successfully completed the first camp of the year: our “Soulbird” bereavement camp for children and families coping with the loss of a loved one. During this special session, families living with grief were able to process difficult emotions through therapeutic recreation, creative activities, and supportive community experiences. Families found connection, understanding, and moments of joy in a safe and accepting environment.
The impact of this camp reminded us once again how important emotional support and shared experiences are for seriously ill children and their families. Thanks to your support, participants could step away from hospitals, treatments, and everyday worries for a few days and simply be children again.
At the same time, preparations are already underway for our five summer camp sessions. In the coming months, we will welcome hundreds of seriously ill children and their siblings to our therapeutic camps, where they can build confidence, friendships, and unforgettable memories through medically safe adventures and professionally guided programs.
Our team of healthcare professionals, psychologists, volunteers, and camp staff are working hard to create life-changing experiences for every child arriving this summer. We are deeply grateful to the GlobalGiving community for helping make these camps possible.
Thank you for standing with us and bringing courage, healing, and joy to children who need it most.
