Help kids with disabilities in Rural India Play

Dear Donors 

Hope you and your dear ones are doing well and keeping well.

Here in India the 2nd wave of Corona Virus had put all of us into great test once again and as a country we are bouncing back slowly and steadily and we are hoping that Vaccination will be completed by end of Dec this year.

After 2 months of Lockdown, during which our on-the-ground project activities were stopped. We are bounding back too.

While the pace is slow we want to ensure you that our actions are in right direction and we are doing whatever is possible with all the might we can.

DEVELOPMENT / PROGRESS SINCE APRIL 2021

1. Community is growing

Happy and proud to thankfully share with you that more and more persons with disabilities are getting to know about wheelchair tennis in India and are pulled to/ inspired to play the sport. In the last 3 months, we have added 3 more players to the program. Sharing a picture of two individuals with disabilities from Rural India who have taken on partnering with each other to learn wheelchair tennis.

2. Collaboration with Local community to set up Tennis Court

We are delighted to share that we have collaborated with another not-for-profit organization in a rural Village Kanyakumari in the South State of India, Tamilnadu to building a tennis facility.  The work started in the 2nd week of July 2021 and 20% of the work has been completed. Sharing the project site pictures.

We expecting this facility to be ready for operation by end of September 2021 and operational by Mid November.

This project will bring much-needed velocity to the project.
