Current Treatments and Services Provided

Through the generous support of our donors, we have been able to continue offering essential respiratory care for children affected by acute and chronic breathing disorders. Despite ongoing challenges, our pediatric medical teams remain committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate treatment to every child in need.

  1. Oxygen Therapy and Monitoring
Thanks to donated equipment and technical assistance, we continue to provide safe and effective oxygen therapy.

    • Continuous pulse oximetry is used to monitor oxygen levels in children with respiratory distress.

    • Oxygen concentrators and high-flow nasal cannulas are available for patients with moderate to severe hypoxemia.

    • When necessary, CPAP and mechanical ventilation are applied to stabilize children in critical condition.

  2. Pharmacological Treatments
Donor contributions have allowed us to maintain an adequate supply of essential medicines used to treat respiratory infections and chronic airway conditions.

    • Antibiotics (such as amoxicillin) are provided for bacterial pneumonia and other infections.

    • Bronchodilators and steroids are administered to children with asthma, bronchiolitis, or recurrent wheezing.

    • For viral infections such as RSV, supportive care—including oxygen therapy, hydration, and fever control—remains the standard approach.

  3. Preventive and Follow-Up Care
Ongoing funding and community engagement have enabled the continuation of preventive programs that reduce the recurrence of respiratory illness.

    • Vaccination campaigns cover influenza, pertussis, and pneumococcal diseases.

    • Parents receive training and educational materials on inhaler and nebulizer use at home.

    • Children with chronic conditions receive nutritional and follow-up support, ensuring better long-term outcomes.

Impact

Every piece of equipment, every dose of medication, and every trained healthcare worker represents the collective effort of our donors and supporters. Their contributions have allowed us not only to sustain life-saving respiratory treatments but also to provide comfort, dignity, and hope to hundreds of children and their families each year.
