Project Report | Jun 14, 2026
Empowering 320 male and female students from margi

By Akram al-Sharabi | Project Leader

Project Progress Report: How Has Your Donation Changed the Lives of 320 Students Since 2023?

When we launched this project in 2023, our motivation was to respond to the dire situation of marginalized children in Taiz. Hunger and malnutrition were major obstacles preventing hundreds of children from accessing education and forcing them to drop out of school.

Today, as we conclude the first quarter of 2026, we would like to share with you the significant impact and positive transformation you have made possible, based on the following facts: From Suffering to Stability: Impact in Numbers and Facts

*Sustainable and Ongoing Food Security:* Thanks to your continued support since 2023, the Healthy Meals Project is no longer just temporary relief. It has become a sustainable daily safety net, protecting 320 students from school hunger and ensuring their healthy physical and mental development.

Record Low Dropout Rates: Before our intervention in 2023, absenteeism rates among marginalized students were very high due to families' inability to provide breakfast. Today, school records for the first quarter of 2026 show an astonishing 94% attendance rate, with children returning to their classrooms regularly and enthusiastically.

A noticeable improvement in academic performance: Teachers and school administrators confirmed that providing a regular healthy breakfast has doubled students' ability to concentrate and learn in class, and many have gone from struggling academically to excelling and actively participating.

Easing the burden on families: Behind every one of the 320 students is a family living below the poverty line. Your intervention has significantly reduced their daily financial burden, making them more determined to send their children to school rather than pushing them into the early labor market. Success stories:

"Since 2023, this project's intervention has made all the difference between my child going to school and staying hungry at home. Today, I see my children running to school every morning, knowing that someone cares about their health and future. You have restored our hope." # Important Update: Where are we now? (Q2 2026)

As we enter the second quarter of 2026, the school break has begun, providing families with a valuable opportunity to enjoy a period of rest. However, very soon, schools will reopen their doors to welcome back these young heroes.

We in the field management team are not pausing during this break; rather, we are intensifying our efforts and actively preparing for the upcoming academic year. Our ambition extends beyond simply maintaining our achievements. We are striving to expand our reach to include additional marginalized and displaced children who desperately need this morning meal to protect them from hunger and dropping out of school.

The continuation of this project from 2024 until today is a testament to the fact that your donation was not merely a financial contribution, but a true investment in safeguarding the future of an entire generation and equipping them with health and education.

We hope that you will continue to be the lifeblood of this hope as schools reopen soon, expanding this humanitarian umbrella. Thank you for making a difference!
