7- Success stories

The project to feed 320 male and female students for marginalized students is a project that was launched by the Nahda Youth Organization in the year  2022, and it is still ongoing and aims to provide healthy and balanced nutritional meals for marginalized male and female students in three areas in Taiz Governorate - Yemen. The most vulnerable areas are the areas of the marginalized, where they suffer from poverty, hunger, marginalization, and discrimination in education. The project targets 320 male and female students on a daily basis from various primary classrooms , and continues for a full academic year .

The project was not limited to distributing meals only, but also included distributing psychological support bags and school uniforms to marginalized girls. It also included organizing awareness and educational workshops for parents, teachers, and students about the importance of proper nutrition, mental health, and dealing with bullying and school violence. The project also participated in solving some of the problems facing the targeted students, such as providing school supplies, school uniforms, and transportation to schools .

The project recently achieved amazing results in improving the situation of marginalized male and female students. The attendance rate increased to 70 %, the dropout rate decreased to 22 %, educational results improved by 50 %, and the level of self-confidence and belonging to school increased by 53 % . .
