50,000 family pets ARE NOT in kill shelters today thanks to The Pongo Fund Pet Food Bank. Beloved pets just like beautiful Daisy the Great Dane. Look at that gorgeous face. She's alive today because we were here for her when she needed us most.
In just three years' time we have donated more than 4 million nutritious meals for some 50,000 animals. We've even helped spay and neuter more than 1,000 of them. And along the way we have led our community forward to dramatically reduce shelter populations. What does that really mean? This is what Best Friends Animal Society said about The Pongo Fund:
“The best way to reduce shelter populations is to keep animals out of the shelters to begin with. The Pongo Fund Pet Food Bank has developed that very program. They’re doing something innovative in Portland that’s making a huge difference.”
Quite simply, The Pongo Fund gives a chance to animals that might not otherwise have a chance, and hope to families that have little else to be hopeful for. Because sometimes, a simple bowl of kibble can be the force that both keeps a family together and saves the lives of the animals they love.
And during this holiday season, is there anything more important than family?
We would be honored if you would take 2 minutes and 20 seconds to view our video; the link is below. It is our first video and we are proud to share it with you. As you’ll see, Daisy and her Mom Wynde are both alive today thanks to your support. Saving lives, one bowl of kibble at a time.
Peace, love and kibble to you, from all of us at The Pongo Fund.
