The crazyness of spring has passed.
Our final event of the year, The 2015 FTC West Super-Regional came and went. 72 FIRST Tech Challenge teams from 12 states came, collaborated and competed!
As we wound down the spring months, we have started to look forward to the summer and summer camps.
This summer we will be hosting 7 weeks of robotics camps for students. Our camps are built around the FIRST LEGO League challenges and introduce students to strategic thinking, time management, collaboration and engineering-style problem solving all in the space of a week.
The students work in pairs to build, program and test a LEGO Mindstorms robot to play on the many past seasons of FIRST LEGO League games.
Summer also signals the beginning of the planning for the coming year's robots compettions. We are expecting up to 600 FIRST LEGO League teams, 150 FIRST Tech Challenge teams, and 100 Jr. FIRST LEGO League teams. These teams will participate in an estimated 60-70 events, utilizing at least 2000 volunteers!
All told, nearly nearly 5000 total students will participate in our programs this coming year!
As always, your support is critical to our ability to continue to serve our communities.
With your continued support we are managing to keep the lights on, keep the doors open and keep the kids working towards a better tomorrow!
