Support Remote Healthcare in Nepal: Free Medicines for Phuleli Community Health CenterBringing Essential Healthcare to Families in the Everest Region

Located in Phuleli village, Taksindu, along Nepal's classic Everest Base Camp trekking route, Phuleli Community Health Center serves as a lifeline for both remote Himalayan communities and the porters who support thousands of trekkers each year. Supported by The Small World, the health center provides free essential medicines and primary healthcare to people who would otherwise have very limited access to medical services.

On average, 10–12 patients receive treatment every day, including children, women, elderly people, low-income families, and many porters seeking care for illness, injuries, dehydration, and altitude-related conditions.

Why This Health Center Matters

Without this health center, many patients would need to walk 7–8 hours to reach the nearest district hospital, followed by additional expenses for transportation, accommodation, food, consultations, and medicines. For many families, these costs are simply unaffordable. By providing free medicines close to home, the clinic ensures timely treatment while reducing both financial hardship and unnecessary travel.

Immediate Need

We urgently need US$3,000 to purchase essential medicines that will keep the health center operating for the next six months.

Your support will provide approximately 1,800–2,100 patient consultations with free medicines over the next six months, ensuring that children, mothers, elderly people, and porters continue to receive timely healthcare close to home. Every donation helps keep the shelves stocked, strengthens this vital rural health center, and brings hope to families living in one of Nepal's most remote Himalayan communities.

Your Support Saves Lives

Access to healthcare should not depend on where someone lives. Every contribution helps ensure that no child, mother, elderly person, or porter is left without essential medical care simply because they live far from a hospital. Together, we can continue bringing hope, health, and lifesaving medicines to the Everest region.

Thank you for helping us keep this vital community health center open and ensuring that quality healthcare remains accessible to those who need it most.
