Readers are Leaders!

By Bisola Asala | Program Support

“Reading is the gateway that makes all other learning possible. Barack Obama

The Notable, Outstanding, Bold, Leaders Extraordinaire (NOBLE) club, in its quest to help develop exemplary citizens among public primary school children by providing access to 21st-century soft skills, kicked off its 2024 learning phase with a reading session.

Each child across our Learning Resource Centres in three different public primary schools where we hold the Noble Club sessions for primary 6 pupils was asked to simply read a book of their choice from our library for the day, improving their reading skills, and encouraging their creative thinking and storytelling.

Through role-plays and presentations, the children learnt decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication. The sessions were facilitated by guest speakers in all the Learning Resource Centers. So far this year, 167 children have joined the Noble Club. With our continued commitment to ensuring every underserved child can acquire 21st-century skills and your support, we know we can continue to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve.

Kindly keep supporting our work by donating and sharing why you choose to support us with your community of family and friends.

Thank you!

Bisola,
