If it were up to us, ambassadors like Kellogg would live forever. Unfortunately, time is not so kind.
Kellogg joined the PWC family in 2007 and quickly became a favorite among staff and patrons. His beautiful colors made him a joy to admire, but even more importantly, his gentle demeanor helped to build vital nature connections. Young children approached him without fear, neurodivergent groups felt comfortable touching his smooth scales, and even hesitant adults came to appreciate the role of corn snakes in our ecosystem.
Over the years, Kellogg interacted with thousands of people across the Triangle, spreading the vital messages of coexistence and stewardship. As he crosses the rainbow bridge, we hope he finds a sunny rock where he can bask and know the profound legacy he leaves behind.
