Dear friends,
Thank you very much for the donations we are continuing to get!
Summer is a season of rest, a period of vacations and travels. Someone goes to the seaside, someone goes to the country, and the children in our center are not an exception. All parents have got recommendations for the holidays, many parents have taken rehabilitation equipment and developing toys for the summertime in the center, so that their children can spend this summer with maximum benefit.
While children were having a rest, specialists of our center managed to actively participate in the International Scientific Conference "Early Intervention to Promote Child Development and Mental Health: From Institutional Care to Family Environment" that took place in St. Petersburg (Russia) on July 1-3, 2013, with the support of International Society on Early Intervention and Saint-Petersburg State University. The main goal of the conference was: integration of scientific information and experience gained by the world professional community in the area of child development and mental health, and promotion of development of children who are brought up in at-risk families or those who are under the care of government at boarding schools in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) as well as in Central and Eastern Europe. Our team presented a workshop report on: "Development of Early Intervention Program in Kharkov".
Besides, a new number of the Parenting Club magazine with interesting and useful information for parents was published this summer.
We are glad to inform, that with active participation of the specialists from CF "Early Intervention Institute" there was a manual for specialists published, "Early Intervention, Interdisciplinary Help for Infants with Developmental Problems and Their Families". The manual includes the basics of early intervention, connected with family-centered, multidisciplinary issues and the issues of rendering team aid to parents and children.
