Dear supporter,
On behalf of The Hope Exchange and our clients, I hope you are well and that, for those who had a long Easter weekend, you had time to relax and be with your nearest and dearest.
The Hope Exchange has great news regarding our coffee shop and barista training project. We are opening a shop soon on our premises! If all goes as planned, we will open in May.
This has only been possible with the support of a fund donation and a newly established partnership with another South African NPO, U-turn Homeless Ministries, which has the needed experience with running coffee shops and training clients as staff.
We are super excited and look forward to a hopeful, buzzing and vibrant addition to our premises in central Cape Town, where people can come and enjoy a well-brewed hot drink and at the same time support our clients in getting access to opportunities to step away from a life on the street. Should you find yourself in our Mother City, please come visit soon!
But though I can share this great news, we are far from having enough funds to run the shop and training programme for the first year or so, before the shop potentially will become sustainable and finance the training. Therefore, please continue to support the cause and share the project with friends and family.
We appreciate you. Thank you.
Warm regards
Marie
