Due to lack of funding we have put this project on hold for now.
We are waiting to see if it is possible to combine this project with another larger project we are doing with the International Rescue Committee, which, although it is not soley focused on Gender Based Violence, it includes digital trainings for a group of 20 young women, ages 15-30 both of Greek and migrant/refugee origins.
We have established an office near Victoria Square in Athens and managed to register as a local NGO which will help us enormously in fundraising efforts as we are now an official entity in the EU.
We would like to share a bit of good news, one of the films we produced last year, ESCAPE TO JUSTICE won a Gracie Award in the Student Category, a prestigious award from the Alliance of Women in Media.
We continue to produce both original content and content-for-hire in order to build our reputation and base in Greece. One of our longtermprojects is a feature documentary film, HEARTS IN EXILE about the group of Afghan MPs (Members of Parliament) from Afghanistan who were forced to flee when the Taliban took over and are living in Greece at the moment, awaiting their asylum requests to Canada to be processed. This is an international co-production with French, Greek and Canadian producers and we are thrilled to be two months into production.
