Since our last update on our Mill Hill Activity Holiday, we are pleased to say that the plans are coming along swimmingly.
Last year we had 19 of the young people we support stay for the duration of the holiday. This year, due to high demand, we have had to increase the number to 25.
We have already had 19 young people sign up and return their registration forms.
Donations for our Teens Unite Activity Holiday are still coming in through our Global Giving fundraising page, however with more young people attending this year than last year, we are still in need of funding. Our current total is £5,081.
We would like to thank all of those who have donated so far and would like to encourage them to speak to their friends, family and colleagues about our Activity Holiday and how much of a difference they could make to the lives of these young people fighting cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
We wanted to leave you with a quote from one of the young people, Shannon who attended last year:
“The teens, volunteers, founders, social workers, employees and ambassadors at the Teens Unite Activity Holiday all made an incredible influence to my life, they've all given me so much hope, happiness, faith in humanity and determination.
Before this trip, as the people around me know, I haven't felt I can speak to anybody I used to due to lack of understanding and assumptions on how cancer 'did, would & will affect me' - highly agitating me. The people I have met have unknowingly helped me. I hope that we are all reunited soon but if not, I want every single one of you to know you will always hold a special place in my heart and have ALL contributed to my life now and forever."
Thank you for supporting Teens Unite.
