On Monday 22nd August, Shanti was glad to receive Gladys for the Teen Girl workshop.
Gladys is fifteen years old and is in Senior 2. Passionate about school, she is using it to unlock the door of her future. Her parents passed away few years ago. As her aunt is working hard for her school fee, she is really happy to study.
Her role model is Fifi the queen, a ugandan TV personality. Gladys likes the way Fifi behaves and how she counsels people in a kind way. She would like to counsel too on TV and radio. As Gladys went to a taught past, she is willing to assist others.
At home, she listens music and radio programs. When she is free, she studies. She loves Religious education and Luganda.
She is happy to be part of Shanti for the workshop. She shared with us her excitement to learn about pad making and menstruation cup.
Gladys cares about her siblings and she is really helpful within her house. She is happy to be a woman as she thinks becoming a mother is a fabulous thing in life. We are happy to receive girls as Gladys, future key women within their community.
