Project Highlights
The Alphabots #1860 robotics team empowers high school students to become future leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through the internationally recognized FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), students take the lead in designing, building, programming, and testing an industrial-scale robot while developing teamwork, leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
This season, the team achieved outstanding results in two official regional competitions, demonstrating technical excellence, resilience, and collaboration. Strong robot performance earned the team a place in the playoff rounds and reinforced its reputation as one of Brazil's leading educational robotics teams.
Beyond competitions, Alphabots continues to expand its social impact by inspiring other young people to explore STEM. Students led hands-on workshops, participated in science outreach events, and introduced robotics activities in public schools using the XRP educational platform. After being selected as STEM OS ambassadors in Brazil, the team began bringing robotics kits and practical learning experiences to underserved students, making technology more accessible to the next generation.
The project's impact is also reflected in the achievements of its students. During this period, team members earned prestigious international opportunities, including full scholarships to leading universities and summer programs in the United States, Europe, and China. Others were selected to represent Brazil in international robotics competitions and joined highly competitive educational and professional development programs.
These accomplishments demonstrate how robotics education extends far beyond engineering. It builds confidence, expands opportunities, and equips young people with the skills to become innovators and leaders capable of transforming their communities.
With the support of donors and partners, Alphabots will continue expanding STEM education in public schools, developing new educational initiatives, and creating life-changing opportunities for talented students. Every investment helps empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and changemakers while inspiring many more young people to imagine—and build—a better future.
