Project Report | Mar 3, 2026
AlphaBots - NinethReport

By Adriana Gutierrez Galicia | Project Manager

Project Overview

The project aims to reduce digital illiteracy, combat school dropout rates, and spark students’ interest in learning by encouraging vocations and creating opportunities for talented students in Robotics and Programming. It also promotes a work culture grounded in values and social skills, providing support to children and young people with high potential who face barriers to accessing Science and Technology due to social vulnerability.

In recent months, the team has made consistent progress in its mission to democratize access to STEM, combining technical excellence with social impact. With the start of the season of the FIRST Robotics Competition, students and mentors immersed themselves in the most strategic phase of the year, structuring the robot’s full development — from challenge analysis to final systems integration.

Key highlights from this period include:

  • Definition of the robot’s strategy based on technical analysis and competitive objectives.

  • Development and comparative testing of prototypes to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Integration of mechanical, electrical, and programming systems.

  • Preparation and submission of materials for awards such as the Leadership Award, Woodie Flowers Award, and Impact Award.

Alongside competition preparation, the team expanded its educational outreach. In partnership with the Molex Foundation in Africa, students delivered an online class on aerodynamics and applied physics, teaching participants how to build rockets using recyclable, low-cost materials. The initiative connected theory and practice, broadened access to scientific knowledge, and strengthened youth leadership.

The impact is also reflected in the academic achievements of team members, who have earned admissions and scholarships at leading institutions such as Insper, Inteli, Universidade Federal de Itajubá, and Universidade de Taubaté, in addition to participating in programs offered by Fundação Estudar.

Together, these actions demonstrate a project that develops leadership, expands academic opportunities, and generates sustainable educational impact. The continuity and expansion of these initiatives depend on strengthened partnerships and financial investment, which are essential to ensure that more young people gain access to science, technology, and transformative opportunities.
