Project Overview
The project aims to reduce digital illiteracy, combat school dropout, and spark students’ interest in learning by encouraging their natural talents and creating opportunities for those skilled in Robotics and Programming. It also promotes a culture of work grounded in values and social-emotional skills, providing support to children and young people with high potential who face barriers to accessing Science and Technology due to social vulnerability.
The Alphabots 1860 – FIRST Robotics Competition (@frc1860), representing the Alpha Lumen Institute in partnership with TEAGA/B&S Solutions and Vallenge, proudly took part in the FIRST Championship 2025.
It was a moment of great pride and achievement for the entire team, which brought its creativity, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit to one of the world’s largest robotics events.
Their participation was the result of months of commitment, teamwork, and dedication from both students and mentors.
Beyond preparing for the competition, students actively engaged in a continuous process of technical improvement.
They studied new ways to enhance the robot, performed preventive maintenance, and implemented adjustments to optimize its performance.
Throughout this journey, they also took part in theoretical and hands-on robotics classes, deepening their knowledge in programming, mechanics, electronics, and teamwork.
This participation represents not only a milestone for the team but also an inspiring example of how scientific education can transform lives and open new paths for the future.
Since August 2025, the Alphabots team has taken part in several events that connect technology with purpose.
In the second semester alone, the team joined four major initiatives — Tech Valley Summit, Conexão Juventude, N.K.P Ita, and Science and Business Connection.
At each event, the team shared its story, ran workshops, showcased the robot, and inspired new generations to engage with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
They also competed in the Off-Season event in Porto Alegre, where they trained new members in both presentation and field operations — and proudly earned the champion title.
These experiences strengthened not only the students’ technical skills but also essential values such as leadership, communication, responsibility, and confidence.
More than building robots, Alphabots builds people — young individuals who believe in the positive impact they can create in the world through science, technology, and collaboration.
Support Alphabots 1860 and help us continue transforming lives through education and innovation.
