Leadership Initiatives Students Changing Lives

By Marshall Bailly | Executive Director

Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives Supporters,

First and foremost, thank you! Your donations will continue to empower our team and communities across Bauchi State, Nigeria, giving us the opportunity to form connections and address local issues using community resources. Donors’ contributions have allowed our teams to carry out the mission of improving lives in Bauchi through supporting healthcare initiatives and working to create educational programs for its communities. Shravani have been engaged in months of cultural immersion and have been building connections with our partners in Nigeria to accomplish the goals of preventing and treating Women's Health issues in sub-Saharan Africa.

Shravani have been working with their project coordinator, Mubarak, to assess the current human rights violations surrounding Women's Health in the Inkil community. They have had multiple skype calls with their project coordinator to develop a relationship with them as well as go over vital information. Currently, Shravani are working hard to create a community survey that will give them important data surrounding their health issue. They will then use this data to design a community workshop which will be given in the Inkil community in the spring. This workshop will inform the residents of the community about Women's Health issues and how they can be improved. Now that Shravani are equipped with your support they are moving forward on the path of doing everything they can to raise awareness for Women's Health issues in Bauchi, Nigeria.

As a supporter of this project, Leadership Initiatives would love to have you involved if you ever want to help grow our programs, learn of ways you can participate, or have new ideas on how this team could best help work on their public health issue. Please contact Executive Director Marshall Bailly at mbailly@lichange.org if you have any suggestions, questions, or comments! Your hard work and support is the greatest gift we could receive as we attempt to create a better world.

On behalf of everyone at Leadership Initiatives, thank you for everything that you have done. We all truly appreciate your donation and support for our organization.

Wishing you, your family, and your friends the absolute best!

Sincerely,

Marshall Bailly
