Leadership Initiatives Students Changing Lives

By Marshall Bailly | Executive Director

Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives Supporters,

First and foremost, thank you! Your donations will continue to empower our team and communities across Bauchi State, Nigeria, giving us the opportunity to form connections and address local issues using community resources. Donors’ contributions have allowed our team to carry out their mission of improving the lives of victims of human rights abuses and creating advocacy and awareness campaigns within the local community. Gabrielle and Sarah have been engaged in months of cultural immersion and have been building connections with our partners in Nigeria to accomplish the goal of fighting Sexual Harassment.

Gabrielle and Sarah have been working with their project coordinator, Auwal, to assess the current human rights violations surrounding Sexual Harassment in the Guru community. They have had multiple skype calls with their project coordinator to develop a relationship with them as well as go over vital information. Currently, Gabrielle and Sarah are working hard to create a community survey that will give them important data surrounding their advocacy issue. They will then use this data to design a community workshop which will be given in the Guru community in the spring. This workshop will inform the residents of the community about Sexual Harassment, and how the issue can be improved. Now that Gabrielle and Sarah are equipped with your support they are moving forward on the path of doing everything they can to raise awareness for Sexual Harassment in Bauchi, Nigeria.

As a donator to this project, your support is an amazing thing to have as we attempt to transform lives. Everyone at Leadership Initiatives would love to have you more involved in our organization if you would ever want to help us grow our programs or learn more about ways that you can assist. Please contact Executive Director Marshall Bailly at mbailly@lichange.org if you have any suggestions, questions, or comments!

On behalf of everyone at Leadership Initiatives, thank you for everything that you have done. We all truly appreciate your donation and support for our organization.

Wishing you the absolute best!

Sincerely,

Marshall Bailly
