Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives Donor,
To start off, thank you! Because of your generous donations, we are able to continue giving our interns the opportunity to address local advocacy issues in Bauchi State, Nigeria. These interns work daily to create an advocacy campaign to raise awareness for pressing issues in the Bauchi community. As an organization, our mission is to improve the lives of the victims of human rights abuses and build stronger communities. This is supported directly through your donations, which allows us to create advocacy and awareness campaigns within the local community. Your support of these interns and their hard work is crucial to the success of each team and their fight to raise awareness for their advocacy issue.
Our interns have been working throughout the spring semester to create a community survey to collect critical insights into community issues and attitudes. This survey was distributed across the Bauchi community and allowed our interns to tailor their intervention to the needs of the community. This will help them gain more understanding of the importance of the work they are doing. After receiving and analyzing the results, they have been using the knowledge gained through this survey to create a community workshop used to provide education and vital resources to members of the community. This community workshop will be led by their project coordinator in the coming months and will have interactive activities to help the participants truly understand the message that they are trying to get across.
Throughout the past four months, these interns have had multiple skype calls with their project coordinators where they have had the opportunity to gain information about their advocacy issue. They have used this data to work to finalize their community workshop proposal before it is reviewed. In addition to working on their advocacy campaign, these interns have also continued to develop a strong relationship with their project coordinator. We are so grateful for your support as we work daily to change lives. We would love to have you involved if you ever want to help grow our programs, learn of ways you can participate, or have new ideas on how this team could raise awareness for their advocacy issue.
