Dear Amazing Leadership Initiatives Donors,
Your donations will empower individuals and communities across Bauchi State, Nigeria, by giving them an opportunity to form connections and address the issue around immunization by using community resources. This will create a generation of leaders to encourage progress that starts at a very local and community by community level but over time it will impact many more communities and people all across Nigeria. The program provides us with critical knowledge for the prevention and education of social issues in sub-Saharan Africa.
We work with local NGOs and hospitals in Nigeria to assess and monitor the current public health situation, then we design educational campaigns to educate the community members on prevention and facts about immunization. Currently, this project will help raise awareness and create community programs to promote vaccination in Bauchi.
High school students from all over the United States, who met at a summer camp, are working with LI Project Coordinator Rashida to assess the promotion of community members getting vaccinated. Currently, we are completing our initial research in preparation to design our first education campaign to implement in Bauchi. Your encouragement for our intern group and our project will truly help change lives across the globe, as fighting social and public health issues at a grassroots level sparks change across all socioeconomic facets of the community.
As a supporter of our project, Leadership Initiatives would love to have you involved if you ever want to help grow our programs, learn of ways you can get involved, or have new ideas on how our team could best help work on our issue. Please contact Executive Director Marshall Bailly at mbailly@lichange.org if you any questions, comments, or suggestions! Your hard work and support is the greatest gift we could receive as we attempt to create a better world.
Thank you once again from the bottom of everyone’s heart here at Leadership Initiatives. If you would ever like to speak to our staff in Nigeria or the specific project leader, we love to communicate with you so you can personally see the change you are creating.
Wishing you, your family, and friends the absolute best!
Sincerely,
IIP Team #1056
