In fall 2016 Stepping Stones conducted two small videolink pilot programs in schools in Fengxian (Shanghai) and Guangde (Anhui) schools. In spring 2017, we scaled up, adding two more schools, Luyi and Dengfeng, both in Henan province, while adding more classes to the existing schools.
During the spring semester so far, we have recruited and trained 103 remote-teaching volunteers from public and international companies, and we have kicked off, or are about to kick off in the upcoming weeks, 29 full courses in all. The average number of students in a videolink class is 12, and the semester runs for 12 full classes, which means that, by the end of the spring semester, we will have taught 348 students in a total of 348 classes.
