Youth holds skills-training for fellow youth entrepreneurs

By Anna Del Rosario | Youth Program Associate

Cebu Peoples' Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CPMPC) Empowered Youth Laboratory Cooperative (CEYLABCO)’s recently opened Entrepreneurial Development Center became a venue for the youth’s skills training activity last March 15, 2015. CEYLABCO officers invited several youth members to learn about t-shirt printing, mug printing, and button pin making which are part of the services managed by the Laboratory Cooperative. The youth members are encouraged to maximize their resources to create small businesses since they can use the machinery for free. Cebu People’s MPC (CPMPC) actively supports the initiatives of its Lab Coop by providing resources and trainings for their youth members. Aside from designing and printing t-shirts, mugs, and button pins, CEYLABCO officers are also working on engaging more youth members to participate in their trainings and explore other possible products and services they can offer to the community.

The activity is also in culmination of the youth's involvement in the Aflatoun Program where they learn and apply their skills in social and financial entrepreneurship.
