Integration workshop held for translated modules

By Anna Del Rosario | Youth Program Associate

Two pillars of the nationwide roll-out of the Aflatoun Program gathered for a 3-day workshop to tackle the integration of the newly translated Aflatoun modules into the K to 12 curriculum. On February 19-21, 2015, selected principals, education supervisors, teachers, and NATCCO’s partner cooperatives from all over the country drafted the curriculum integration guide that will serve as the working ground for Aflatoun teachers and schools. The curriculum writers generously shared their energy, time, and expertise in accomplishing the given task. Final revisions are in progress and the complete integration guide will be shared to all Aflatoun partner Cooperatives, schools, and stakeholders nationwide.

The activity was conducted with all-out support from the Department of Education and NATCCO is grateful for the continuous endorsement and the active participation of its partner Cooperatives, school administrators, and principals ever since the program has been implemented. The program implementers aim for seamless integration of the Aflatoun concepts into the education curriculum to facilitate more effective strategies in teaching social and financial education to children.
