Last March 24, 2022, in coordination and celebration of the Global Money Week, the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) conducted the yearly Aflatoun International Day celebration. With an exciting program and inspiring speaker, the event was attended and participated by 84 aflatoun savers from different provinces from the Philippines.
We are in complete awe to hear from many brilliant young minds who have shared their experiences and learning through the Youth Forum’s theme: Designing Your Tomorrow with Social and Financial Skills. We were able to learn the challenges that they had during the pandemic and online classes and how they were able to go through them and thrive. These young savers are indeed the hope of the future generations to come, as what our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, said.
We have also invited the NATCCO’s Stab Fund Senior Inspection Officer and Financial Literacy Advocate, Ms. Phoebe Marie Ramirez, as our resource speaker where she talked about her personal story of reaching financial goals and freedom through the aid of cooperatives. The participants were truly inspired after her talk and will surely remember the practical tips to building a future full of hope.
It was a fun and informative virtual activity. Even if we are still in an online setting, everybody enjoyed the program and presentation as shown from the result of the evaluation. With the hope of a bright and colorful future, we are now looking forward to next year’s celebration!
Thanks for reading, Global Givers!
