Report No. 2 - on the pocket-money project

As mentioned in our first report 4 months ago, the rains had just started and they did hamper the work in the garden. But not only were there again 12 children, as in the last report, but 3 three new ones!
Three of the old ones were absent where one girl was on a course on the Copperbelt, another boy sent to an uncle’s family, without reason being given and one being sick.
The existing 12 reported that between them they had made 20 vegetable rings, HUMUS with their worm farm and cut small firewood pieces. The parents all agreed that their children did well and that they liked the project.
The children reported that with the money they received they bought exercise books and pens for school, bought food at school, or helped with items for the family like salt. We’ll find out next time where they keep their money and whether they save any and what they would want to buy with it.
With the rains about to stop, that’s what we are praying for now. There will be quite a few structures in their backyards that will need renovation. We are looking forward to reporting on that.
To you with ever so many thanks for helping a group of people, who are poor, to get a bit of determination to help themselves, yours ever the Tiko family.
