Dear friends,
We are delighted to share with you some recent activities and achievements under our project entitled “Teach life skills to children without parents”.
Firstly, we are happy to inform you that a couple of days ago, a young person called us with a good news: he had found himself a new job! The month before, we had accompanied him to a career forum, where he managed to gathered useful information and contacts in his search for a job. Receiving such news as a result of proper actions and invested efforts was wonderful!
Secondly, we would like to share with you information on a recent initiative of ours: at the time of the “Education 2016: Equal access to education for every child” conference at the University for Architecture, Civil engineering and Geodesy in Sofia on the 28th and the 29th of October, outside the conference hall, a stand of the Step for Bulgaria Foundation was receiving everyone willing to become familiar with the Foundation’s activities and with its Mentoring programme in particular. The event was hosted by ¨Education 2030¨, the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria and the Teach for Bulgaria Foundation, with the support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation.
At the exhibition, as part of the presentation of the Mentoring programme of the Foundation, the guests of the event had the opportunity to share their vision of the Mentor´s personality and of the most important qualities that a good mentor should have. The answers to the question: “What is a Mentor?” showered our stand during the two-days-conference.
Thank you so much for your contribution! We, the Step for Bulgaria team, are grateful for your support to our project and in that connection, we would like to inform you that tomorrow, the 29th of November, is a #GivingTuesday and GlobalGiving is offering a 50% match on donations up to the first $1 million raised on GlobalGiving.org! It is a great opportunity to support the cause!
We are most grateful and again, we thank you!
