Catastrophic flash floods and mudflows have devastated villages in the Ayni District of Tajikistan, completely destroying homes, infrastructure, and access to clean water. Displaced families are left without shelter, food, or basic necessities. Our non-profit is on the ground delivering immediate emergency relief. Your support will provide urgent food packs, safe drinking water, medical supplies, and temporary shelter to help vulnerable families survive this crisis and begin to rebuild.
On October 1, 2026, torrential mountain rains triggered devastating flash floods and massive mudflows across the Ayni District in northern Tajikistan, severely impacting villages like Darg and Kazdon. The sudden deluge swept through communities, completely destroying homes, washing away livestock, and obliterating fields. Critical infrastructure has collapsed, leaving hundreds of displaced residents without shelter, clean water, or food under rapidly approaching harsh weather conditions.
Our emergency response teams are on the ground in the hardest-hit villages of Ayni District. This project funds the rapid procurement and distribution of immediate life-saving aid. We are delivering safe drinking water and purification tablets, distributing urgent food packs and hygiene kits, and providing emergency shelter materials, heavy blankets, and cold-weather clothing. We also provide essential toolkits to help families clear mud debris and secure their environments.
By addressing immediate survival needs, this project prevents disease outbreaks, malnutrition, and exposure in the disaster's wake. Providing early stability allows displaced families to recover faster without falling into systemic poverty. Restoring local clean water infrastructure and helping clear debris lays the groundwork for long-term community rehabilitation, helping over 150 families safely rebuild their homes and restore their agricultural livelihoods.
