Project Report | Mar 15, 2019
Distance Support Team

By I V | voluntary

Dear supporters,

from the missions that Yatra supports in Ranchi (India) the best wishes for Christmas and Happy 2018 come to you; by students, teachers, doctors and operators and religious who in the schools of the Doctrinal Fathers and the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul continue to give us signs of joy and hope, even in daily adversities.

With good wishes, we want to bring you the spirit of celebration and joy that our students have recently experienced on the occasion of the celebrations for the Foundation of the Mission and the Feast of masters and teachers.

Prayers, representations in typical local costumes and team games animated the mission with the large participation of the parents and the inhabitants of the neighborhood.

Remote support 2018-12

Despite the social and economic difficulties the community is always very united and supportive, in these moments it also transmits to us a strength and a determination that bodes well for future developments.

Hope that we want to convey to you as we approach Christmas, drawing inspiration from another episode that we want to bring back to you from the words of the new principal of Little School Dingon Kujur:

"This year after a visit to the houses in the neighborhood, 24 other children were admitted to the Little School by Adlin and Luisa, both of whom have blind parents, forced to ask for alms on the street. Now Adlin and Luisa, like all their comrades, attend school, have uniforms, books, notebooks, medical care and meals offered by the mission "and, we may add, they can hope for a better future in a corner of the world in rapid economic development, but that still knows pockets of extreme poverty.

To give hope to our Indian friends, we also invite you to spread knowledge of Yatra's projects among family members, colleagues and friends and to consult news from Ranchi via the Internet, on the association's website (www.yatraweb.it); you will be able to follow more easily the developments of all the activities that we could not promote without your contribution to reduce the discomfort and suffering of our Indian brothers.
