ANOTHER INDIA: Jharkhand and Adivasis through the documentaries of Cristele Blad

3 documentaries by Cristèle Blad, French director and anthropologist will be screened as the protagonist of numerous research trips in the tribal territories of India and Southeast Asia.

The screenings will be interspersed with debates with the director, present in the room, and the speeches of two professors of the University of Turin: Alessandra Consolaro, professor of Hindi language and literature, and Tommaso Bobbio, professor of History and Institutions of Asia.

Program:
• 14.30: welcome and introduction
• 14.45: screening of "Johar Jharkhand" (24 '50 "), documentary on the Indian State born in 2000 to give political recognition to the majority Adivasi and characterized by a great ethnic, cultural and natural resources
• 15.10: interview with the director Cristèle Blad
• 3.30pm: screening of "At the origin of Indian art" (26 '28 "), documentary on the ancient tradition of wall painting in the Adivasi villages
• 4.00 pm: Speech by Prof. Consolaro on Adivasi literature
• 4.30pm: chai-break
• 16.50: screening of "Khala Khana - Black Food" (50 '55 "), documentary on the Jharkhand coal mines and their consequences on the local population
• 17.40: speech by prof. Bobbio on the processes of marginalization and social exclusion in contemporary India
• 18.10: questions and conclusions
