Last October 12, the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa celebrated the International Day of the Girl. TSL’s regular volunteer and the International Day of the Girl Ambassador form the Asia Pacific, Ms. Michelle Alvarez, conducted an “Amazing Leadership Race” program and celebrated with the girls as well. The girls made a fantastic banner and played along in groups.
October was such a busy month for the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa. Team and Corporate outreach programs were being held at the center. The girls were also busy with their daily routines, and their ALS (Alternative Learning System) classes. Some of the girls were also preparing for the Accreditation and Equivalency Examination (A&E); which when passed, the girls will be accelerated to higher level of ALS, or be transferred to a formal school system; and for the older girls, will be referred for vocational training.
We are all praying for the continuous support of generous friends and families of TSL to help the girls - one step at a time.
