Since December 2023, the girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa have shown their appreciation for the gifts they receive by sharing these blessings with others in need. Their first community outreach was to nearby slum areas where they distributed donated canned goods, toys, and slippers. The response they received from the families convinced them to return to these areas in December 2025, bringing groceries, school supplies, hygiene kits, clothes, slippers, and toys.
In 2024, they visited a very depressed community in Talim Island, where they joyfully distributed school bags, notebooks, school supplies, and champorado (a chocolate rice porridge) to children and students in the area, as a way to encourage them to continue in school.
To help those who had lost their homes and belongings after a fire which hit several poor families in their parish in 2025, the girls quickly put together donated clothes and hygiene kits, and brought these to the parish church for distribution.
More recently, with skyrocketing fuel prices due to the Iran-US war impacting heavily on delivery riders in the city, the girls repacked 25-kilo sacks of rice into 1-kilo bags of rice. These were given out in a community food pantry for delivery riders to augment their family food supply.
Through these outreach activities, the TSL girls learn gratitude, kindness, compassion, and the joy and value in helping others.
