We have just launched our campaign for funding for this project, waiting until after the summer break in Europe. The issue of breast ironing remains as relevant as ever in Loum, and young girls' lives continue to be affected by this cruel and ineffective practice. We are hoping that sufficient funds will be raised in the coming weeks to enable ICA Cameroon to start implementing this project with all the key people involved in continuing this tradition, using a combination of advocacy and education to change behaviours over time. In this way, the project will begin to change the lives of girls already affected, and to prevent others suffering in the same way.
