Zimbabwe is 8 weeks away from a climate crisis. The Meteorological Services Department forecasts an 88%-94% chance of an El Nino. Below average rains from November 2026 and hotter temperatures will destroy crops. This may result in food prices doubling by January 2027. Children and women in low-income, rural households are prone to succumbing to the effects of acute food insecurity first.
Communities in Zimbabwe are faced with an imminent drought. Food reserves are depleting and market prices are rising beyond reach of the vulnerable household especially from rural, impoverished communities. Without urgent intervention, children face acute malnutrition. This crisis also makes families at-risk for predatory arrangements of forced child labor and child marriages.
Our Match A Meal model ensures that for every food pack donated by you, our Board will match it to feed a second family. We will procure and distribute monthly hampers containing maize meal, beans, cooking oil, and fortified porridge to verified vulnerable households. Distribution will be done with local leaders, village health workers, and local volunteers to ensure transparency and expand the reach to remote villages. We will also provide nutrition awareness to help families use food safely du
A donation of $25 provides a food pack for a family of five and this will keep children healthy, in school, and prevent families from going to bed hungry. It restores dignity and hope to a mother who can now feed her children. 100 % of your donation goes directly to food purchases and delivery. Providing food security means children don't fall behind in their education or physical development at crucial ages.
