With the membership contribution, we have been able to visit and deliver food to 10 T1D patients at the hospital. They are well and come back home. Only one Niyoyita Venuste died.
We have also been able to pay for Health Insurance for 2022 by 13 families with a total of 73 people.
Diabetes is a chronic disease, and patients are disposed to isolation and taken as the burden on their families, which in turn can lead to self-loathing and delay in taking care of their health. In this time of the COVID-19 epidemic they still need to be cared for and not abandoned.
