We have excellent news for you.
Yucatan Peninsula
We will be implementing a new project in the Yucatan Peninsula along with our friends of the local cooperative named Tuumben Kooben. From this month until early next year, we will be holding workshops about sustainable cooking methods based on solar ovens and clean cookstoves. For this project, at least 42 solar ovens will be delivered and 13 clean cookstoves will be built on site where the local communities will be able to attend and learn how to build them. Families that do not participate in the initial phase of the project will have the option to buy their own solar ovens and clean cookstoves by a fair microcredit scheme. Overall, this project seeks to promote the use of cooking ecotechnolgies to improve family health and domestic economy conditions and reduce deforestation, biodiversity loss and greenhouse gas emissions.
Central rural Mexico
We are also currently looking for funding to support the community of Chitejé del Garabato located in Querétaro. We want to that promote food and water security for 50 families by delivering appropiate ecotecnologies and empowering the women to use them.
