Dear friends of Sustainable Rural Life,
We are happy to inform you that we are about to join efforts with the National Commission for Protected Areas (Conanp) to expand the program to the Biosphere Reserve Tehuacán-Cuicatlán for training and distribution of clean cookstoves and solar ovens into new rural communities! This will be possible thanks to a new donation from Servicio Continental de Mensajería that is interested in the offset of carbon emissions while improving health in Mexican rural families.
We are also negotiating final details to kick-off the clean cookstove manufacturing workshop in Quintana Roo with the support of a new donor! With the sponsorship of Hoteles City Express we aim to scale up the support from past years and help young local producers in the manufacturing and commercialization process of clean cookstoves in rural Maya communities in the Yucatán Peninsula.
Although we are looking forward to these upcoming donations, we need your support to increase the number of ecotechnologies to reach more rural communities in Mexico in which open fires are still used to prepare the everyday meals.
Thank you for your support!
